Ham Radio

There is a WINLINK (www.winlink.org) station in Chiriqui (located in Bagala) for licensed hams to use for email communication via the HF radio. This is mostly used by sailors and missionaries, and other traffic as is permitted by local rules. There is soon to be a US Ham Licensing exam session in Panama City. A group of licensed ham radio operators in Boquete and Potrerillos meet on Saturday mornings for breakfast (see Events & Meetings)

METO Radio – 103.5 FM

Located in David, M.E.T.O. radio broadcasts live from Boquete every Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5 pm. American Oldies playing each morning, with ExPat disc jockey.

Panama Broadcasting Corp, S.A. - 93.5 FM

93.5 FM (Radio Metropolis) broadcasts current Panama news, in English, on the internet here in Chiriqui at www.pbcpanama.com on Sundays (see schedule below).

Classic Rock n Roll played from 8 – 9 am with DJ Craig and again from 1 – 3 pm with DJ Cassidy, daily. The rest of the time it is a mixture of mostly Spanish language programming.
